We made both of these new dials with extra space at the edges. On the 8-1/4” dial and the 9-1/16”
x 10-1/2”, 3/4” could easily be trimmed off of every edge of either dial if desired. To trim the edge of
one of our aluminum dials use a steel ruler and retractable utility knife with a sharp blade. Draw the
knife along the steel ruler repeatedly until the aluminum separates (usually ½ a dozen strokes with
the knife). The rough edge can be smoothed with medium weight sandpaper. 120 grit or finer.
