High Torque Clock Hands
Some special tips to consider about high torque clock hands. First, the hands are made of aluminum and have a minute hand that is counterbalanced. This allows for these bigger size hands to properly rotate. . The hour hand does not need to be counter weighted to work properly.
You can also shorten the length by clipping the hands as you see fit. Please note that when trimming a large hand, it must be balanced after you trim them. Therefore, the length you trim off the hands should be glued to the underside of the hand where it was trimmed to keep its balance.
Since these are high torque hands, you must use a high torque motor to operate them properly. Of course you do not need to look any further when searching for high torque motors. Clockparts.com has the largest selection of high torque movements in the industry. You can view them at this link: http://clockparts.com/high-torque-clock-movements/
