Press On Hands Clock Movements

For years we have been offering a small selection of movements with "press on" hands. Now things have changed! Because of the smaller profile of these "press on" movements they are popular with small desk clocks and the popular "thin profile" wall clocks made today. The primary advantage to this type of movement are reduced assembly time, more compact shaft lengths, and price! Having to screw on a small minute hand nut on a typical "I" shaft movement can be time consuming, especially if you are using a second hand, and have to use the very small, thin "open" minute hand nut.

Now, we are proud to introduce a full line of press-on movements and our most popular hour and minute hands to go with them. Our standard selection of second hands will fit these movements, and if you are not using a second hand, then we have a black cap called the SWPBLKCAP (5/16" diameter) and a brass cap called the SWPGLDCAP (1/8" diameter) that will press on to the second hand shaft to give your clock a more "finished" appearance.
